Johnnie and Susie Jamerson welcomed their fourth child, a son named Robert Jamerson, on January 24, 1949, in Orlando, Florida. He was affectionately loved and raised in the Richmond Heights community and was a proud graduate of Jones High School.
From an early age, Robert accepted Christ and was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church, where Dr. Carter served as senior pastor. After high school, Robert (commonly known as Bob) worked in the hotel industry for several years.
In December 1987, Robert and Charlen began their life together, exchanging vows and building a family of their own. Their love grew to include two children, Ashley Jamerson and Robert Jamerson Jr., along with two bonus children, Lashamus Hardy and Lashanda Hardy, whom Robert became a father to early in their lives, loving them unconditionally.
Later in life, Robert became a member of Carter Tabernacle CME Church under Bishop Clarence Heath. His interests shifted towards prison ministry, where he devoted himself to offering spiritual support and resources to incarcerated individuals. He was a faithful member until health issues slowed him down. A true lover of the Lord, Robert loved to talk about God’s goodness, express his gratitude, and praise Him daily. Following health challenges, Robert relocated to Georgia in December 2024 and joined Zion Baptist Church under Pastor Craig B. Campbell, remaining a faithful member until his health declined further.
Robert Jamerson peacefully departed this life on April 21, 2025, at 9:00 P.M. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Susie Jamerson; his son, Robert Jamerson, Jr.; brothers, Norlon Williams, Sr. (his elder brother) and Johnnie Jamerson, Jr. (Jeff); and sisters, Amanda Williams and Patricia Parrish (Pat).
