Robert Jones Jr. was born December 14, 1947, to Robert and Ruth Jones, in Savannah, Georgia. He passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
He grew up in Savannah, Georgia where he attended Chatham County Schools and graduated from Thompkins High School. He furthered his education aby attending Savannah Stated University. He developed a deep understanding of Bible truths which led him to be baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1971. This love of the Bible moved him to share in the ministry with his family, as well as teach others about the good news of God's Kingdom.
He worked at the Glynn County Fire Department as a paramedic and Georgia Pacific as an electrician. He also owned Jones Sign Company, making signs for many in the community. Robert enjoyed cooking, traveling, spending time with his family, fishing, painting, drawing and working with his hands. He was a jack of all trades.
On June 8, 1974, he married Jacqueline Yvonne Wood and together they built a beautiful legacy that would last over 50 golden years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Jones, Sr. and Ruth Jones; his sisters, Delores Bostic, Juanita O'Neal, Rosalie Owens, and Helen Steele and his son, Robert Jones III. He is survived by a loving and devoted wife, Jacqueline Yvonne Jones; daughters, Kysha (Daniel) Dubarie, Savannah, GA, Sirena (Eric) Watson, Valdosta, GA, Sherri (Kendrick(Hudson, Jacqueline S. (Stuart) Shoultz, Macon, GA, Janelle (Ryan) Williams, Swainsboro, GA, Rachel (Brandon) Hollins, McDonough, GA, Rita (Bryant) Calloway, Plainfield, IN, Robin (Alex) Adams, Vidalia, GA, Millicent (Elijah) Ferguson, Rincon, GA, Rosalyn (John) Wells and Jasmine Jones, Brunswick, GA; one son, James L. Jones, Smyrna, GA; daughter-in-law, Tiwanna Jones, Savannah, GA; siblings, Cardell (Henrietta) Jones, Michael (Deborah) Jones, Raymond Jones, Beola Boyd and Cassandra (Ronald) Hicks, Savannah, GA, Steven Jones, Wauchula, FL; in-laws, Eddie Ruth Brown, Toledo, OH, Gwenon Holton, Samuel Wood, Sarah (Eric) Carrington, Brunswick, GA, Willie (Alice) Wood, Swainsboro, GA, James L.
