Robert Antonio Slay affectionately known as “Pee Wee” by his family was born to Valerie Slay Jackson and David Strickland on July 27, 1987. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior during his early years while attending Greater Works Than These Ministries. He left this life on June 21, 2023. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Robert Frank Slay who raised him; uncle, Joseph Foster; and his paternal grandmother, Janice Strickland.
Pee Wee was a 2007 graduate of Brunswick High School. During his senior year in High School, he had the opportunity to serve as a bailiff for the Honorable Judge Orion Douglas in which he gained valuable training experience.
He leaves to cherish his memories, son, Karson Slay; daughter, Raylen Slay; mother, Valerie Slay Jackson (Willie); his father, David Strickland; his maternal grandmother who raised him, Margarite Slay; brothers, Maurice Slay, Dominique Holton (Taylor), and Durego Davis; cousins/brothers, Tyberious Singleton, J’Anthony Dunson, Donnie Baldwin (Jazzmine) and Herman Rawls; sisters, Tiasia Morris and Ryleigh Fairell; uncle, Gregory (Shawn) Slay; aunts, Angela (Craig) Hobbs; Lisa (Thomas) Smith, Tarri (Darnell) Baker, Cheryl (Anthony) Bennett, Kristie Cameron, and Sandra Mason; grand aunts, Louise Alford and Geothel Baldwin; god-sisters, Jalayai Culbreath and Kia Robbins; childhood friends are his cousin/brother, Donnie Baldwin, Rashad Golden, and Tanya Edwards; a special friend, Jasmine Heidt; and a host of cousins, nieces, family, and friends.
Pee Wee will forever be remembered for his love for his family and his infectious
smile.
