Rontavious Taylor Obituary

The mind of man changes like the wind, but God's holy words will always remain the same. That's why the Bible makes no guarantees as to how long a person will live. The Bible says that our times are in His hands. It also tells us that “there is a time to be born, and a time to die” (Ecclesiastes 3:2 NLT). We don’t really get any say regarding the date of our birth or death. Then again, we have a lot to say about that space in the middle: “So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12 NKJV). To “number our days” means to make the most of our time here on earth.

Time well-spent reflects a life well-lived. Nobody will live forever; no dynasty continues unbroken. Someday you and I will be mere legends. All that matters is whether we did what we could with the life that was given to us.

Rontavious Jermaine Taylor, known to many as “Ron” or “Twin” was born to Gloria Bowman Graves and John La’Don Taylor on August 9, 1991 in Beaufort SC.  He made his transition on June 21, 2020 in Varnville, SC. Ron was educated in the Hampton District 2 school system and was a member of the Estill High School Class of 2010.  He was employed with Bluffton Moving, Bluffton S.C.

Ron had a tenacious spirit and an infectious smile that could light up a room. To know him was to love him. Once he started talking, it was hard to get him to stop. Ron was passionate about the love he had for his family; especially his Furman family. He enjoyed music and attending church. He was a member of Varnville Miracle Revival Center, Varnville SC.

He had so much love for those that preceded him: grandfather, Esau Bowman Sr; uncles, Jerry (JT) and Marion (Romie) Bowman; aunt, Mary Bowman; and his big cousin, Cornelius (Scooby) Barnwell.
