On Wednesday, September 23, 2020 our Heavenly Father sealed the precious lips of Roy DeLaurance Morris, Sr. Roy was born December 28, 1941 to Robert and Jeffie Morris in Brunswick, GA. He was the youngest child.
Roy received his formal education at Glynn County School System. He graduated from Risley High School in 1960. He accepted Christ as his Savior at a very young age.
Roy was united in holy matrimony with Raynell C. Morris in Brunswick, GA. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, playing tennis, spending time with his family and his dogs. Roy had numerous jobs, at a very young age. He worked as a mortician for years at several funeral homes throughout Glynn County. He was a dedicated chauffeur for many years, until his health failed. Roy was a devoted hardworking man who loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Raynell C. Morris; a daughter, Renee; a sister, Lovely, and three brothers.
He leaves to cherish his memory: three devoted children, Roy (Carrie Bell) Morris, Jr., Rhonda Morris and Robert (Sayori) Morris all of Brunswick, GA; a devoted loving special friend, Candis Harris; a devoted adopted daughter; Lavoria Aquil (Kay); a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, his Miami family, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and sorrowing friends
Due to the current state of (COVID-19) pandemic and in order to promote social distancing, as ordered by the Governor for the State of Georgia, anyone entering the funeral home for viewing; as well as attending all graveside services must wear a mask. We will also limit the number of persons allowed to enter the funeral home at any given period during the viewing process. We ask that you leave the premise upon exiting the building. The family is most appreciative to each of you for your prayers and considerations during this difficult time in their lives.
