Sherie Thomas Obituary

On the pulse of a beautiful morning, God gave Mary E. Smith and Glover Rawls a beautiful and perfect angel “Our Sherie.” God created and fashioned her, made her eyes like windows, her lips like a prayer, then he colored her with love, joy, patience, kindness, gentleness, self-control, generosity, peace, faithfulness, all of the fruits of The Spirit. Our beautiful Sherie added much beauty to God’s world and to her family. She was a rainbow in many clouds and a gift of love to her family. On her home going, if the path be beautiful, let us not ask where it leads, just let her continue and leave a trail, God has already created the path. God’s grace is sufficient and “it will be alright.

” THE JOURNEY

Born in St. Mary’s, Georgia, she was educated in the Camden County public school system and furthered her education at Brunswick Jr. College in Brunswick, Georgia. She moved to Brunswick, GA in 1980. She immediately became the motivation, encouragement and support system for many families and their children, providing daycare services for over 40 years. While in Brunswick, she was also employed by Gateway, Youth Estate and Safe Harbor Children’s Shelter for 16 years, where she developed lasting relationships within the community. She was a faithful and committed member of Greater Bethel A.M.E. Church, where she served proudly as a steward and on the finance committee.
