Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4
Don’t worry about me because as I started walking through those shadows of death, I couldn’t stop because I could see the shadows of the Lord meeting me to take me to that place where the sun is always shining, where my trials and tribulations are over, and the streets are paved with gold. The Lord was there to comfort me throughout my journey. Sorrow not for me because I am now free from the troubles of the world.

To my family and friends, although on February 9, 2026, I started my walk thru the shadows of death, I feared no evil because I knew the God I served was with me. I was walking to join those that had gone before me. Those waiting for me were my parents, Earnest and Leola Fairell; three brothers, Earnest Fairell, Jr., Lewis Fairell and Lawrence Fairell; one sister, Debra Ann Nash; two granddaughters, Aislee and Cameron Grant.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Edwin Leshan (Utrena) Grant and Demetrius Grant; eight grandchildren, Devon Grant, Ciera Grant (Brian) Wood, Brittany Grant, Edwin Grant, Jr., Alicia Grant, Demetrius Grant, Jr., Demetria Grant and Zancuna Grant; fourteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Ernestine Bell, Carolyn Fairell, Patricia Fairell (Marlon) Richardson; four aunts, Ann Ruth Downer, Jerlean Lyons, Martha (Artis) Morrison and Betty Williams; four uncles, Ernest Williams, Johnnie Lee (Annabell) Williams, Melvin Williams, and Joe Nathan Fairell; godmother, Gladys Walthour; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
