Shirley A Murray

Shirley Denmark Murray was born to the parentage of Andrew Denmark and Julia Ball on February 20, 1940, in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended Paxon High School in Jacksonville, Florida. She and her husband were also entrepreneurs for over 25 years.

“He who is powerful, He who is wise. He who is all compassionate and has all understanding, stretched forth His hand and took the hands of our loved one.” She departed this life on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Denmark, and Julia Ball; daughters, Sandra Murray, and Deborah Cooper; one great grandson, Jarvis (Striker) Denmark; her brothers, Cornell Cokley, Aaron Denmark, Charles Denmark; one great granddaughter, and Gerald Denmark; her sisters, Ruby McCloud, Jeanette McClendon, Charity Ball, Gladys Ball, Julia Gibbs, Tonia Crawford, and Geraldine Denmark.

She leaves a loving husband, Harry Murray, to cherish her memories; three sons, Reginald Beckham, Eddie (Fatz) Collins, and Edward Lecount; three daughters, Sharon Denmark, Wanda Murray, and Ruby (Jimmy) Gordon of Richmond Hill, GA; one brother, Larry Johnson of Jacksonville, FL and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends, who will cherish her memories forever and always.
