Tommy Nunnally Obituary

On March 1, 2025, God opened the gateway of Heaven and beckoned Brother Tommy Lee Nunnally to enter into His Holy Kingdom. Today, we pause to celebrate his life and the joy we know he now feels as if he at least resides with the Master of Heaven and Earth.

Tommy was born on May 12, 1953, in Glennville, Georgia, to Odell and Doris Nunnally, who both preceded him in death. Tommy received his formal education through the Glynn County Public School System and graduated from Brunswick High School. He worked for The Cloister Sea Island Resort, Sea Island, Georgia, as a waiter and room service for over 30 years. After retirement, he went into business for himself, establishing the Coastal Pressure Washing and Tommy’s Auto Detailing where he continued to exemplify the values of diligence and integrity.

In his leisure time, he found joy spending time with friends and family. He enjoyed playing pool, collecting car magazines, and watching his favorite team, “the Miami Dolphins,” win or lose. He was a die-hard fan. His infectious sense of humor and warm spirit made him a beloved companion and friend to many.

In his life, Tommy was not only a hard worker but also a caring individual who always looked out for others. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of those around him.

Tommy was married to Hazel Atkinson, and they were both affiliated with Christ United Temple, Brunswick, GA.

Tommy leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Hazel Nunnally: sons, Donte Nunnally, Tramaine Nunnally both of Brunswick, GA, Demario Nunnally, Summerville, SC and Gerard (Onelia) Atkinson of Macon, GA; siblings, Desseline “Pat” (David) Myers, Cornell Nunnally, George Nunnally all of Brunswick, GA, Lavern (Tanya) Nunnally, Antioch, TN; two aunts, Shirley Billings of Boston, MA and Etwinda Murphy, Glennville, GA; one uncle, Billy Joe Jinks of Long Island, NY; sister-in-law, Eva Lovett of Brunswick, GA; six grandchildren, Allen Nunnally, Stormy Legget, Maddie Nunnally, Queston Nunnally, Llyam Atkinson and Jacob Atkinson and a host of nieces, nephews and lots of cousins.
