Venable Baldwin, Jr. Obituary

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5 – 6

A limb has fallen from the family tree. I want each of you to keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me”. Remember the good and bad times, the laughter, and the journey I’ve
walked over the years. The good life I lived while I was strong. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was
blessed to live the three scores God promised me. Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls. I’ll miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes when we’re together
again.

Venable Baldwin was born on January 7, 1950, to Vera Walters Baldwin and Venable Baldwin in Fairmont, North Carolina. He received his formal education at Fairmont High in
Fairmont, North Carolina. Later he worked for 30 years in the dry-cleaning business.

We belong to God; not only for a few fleeting years that we call life but for eternity. God is on both sides of the river. He walks with us during our earthly life and is there to receive us
for our eternal life. We are in God’s presence in life, death, and everlasting; yet we must cross the river to receive our crown of life. Venable Baldwin departed this life on February 6, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Walters Baldwin; father, Venable Baldwin, Sr.; sister, Jane Baldwin Elmore; brother, Anglish Baldwin and nephew, Kendricka Baldwin.

He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters, Jessica Baldwin and Greta Baldwin; son, Joenathan Baldwin; stepson, Prince Cannon; six grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew; four
great-nieces; two great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
