Wallace Fuller, Sr. Obituary

Wallace Fuller, Sr., was born in Waverly, GA, on January 7, 1956, to Sam and Willie Mae Fuller. He attended the public schools of Camden County. On June 19, 1976, he married Pamela Rhone and was a devoted and loving husband. To this union, three children were born.

He started his career at Gilman Paper Company, and after a year, he joined Dickerson Construction. In 1979, he became one of the first black civilian men to be hired on Kings Bay Naval Base. Because of his desire to be successful, he went back to school during the evenings at FCCJ where he earned his certifications as a master brick mason and carpenter. That sacrifice led to his many promotions throughout his career until he retired from the base in 1999.

During his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, working on cars, watching his favorite shows, Gunsmoke, NASCAR, wrestling, or his all-time favorite movie, The Wizard of Oz. In October of 2024, he began his long, hard battle with cancer. During this time, he fought his hardest and defied odds on several occasions. During this difficult time, he was surrounded by his family and friends until his last breath. He passed peacefully on October 4, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae Fuller; father, Sam Fuller; son, Wallace Fuller, Jr.; sister, Arlene Jordan; stepmother, Mary Ann Fuller; grandparents, Albert and Florie Austell and Elnora and Robert Fuller; a plethora of aunts, uncles, cousins, and one great-nephew, Derrick Fuller, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife, Pamela Fuller; two sons, Carlos (Keisha) Fuller and Tyron Joseph; two daughters, Kutwana (Ronald) Roman and Venise Catchings; one brother, Jason (Yolanda) Fuller; one sister, Kesha Fuller; two stepbrothers, Michael (Cynthia) Nelson and Juan Johnson; one stepsister, Aurora Oliver; two brothers-in-law, Jerome Rhone and Dennis Rhone; one sister-in law, Marcia (Charles) Hudson; twelve grandchildren, Nya Fuller, Julian Fuller, Aaliyah Joseph, Catherine Fuller, Jahria Fuller, Tyron Joseph, Jr., Pamela Fuller, Valencia Catchings, Carlos Fuller, Jr., Valentina Catchings, Valecity Catchings, and Violet Catchings; three great-grandchildren, Chance Fuller, Amir Fuller, and Inergy Joseph; two aunts, Alfreda (Lester) Dallas and Katie Fuller; one uncle, James (Pricilla) Austell; his buddies, James Rauls, Perry Frasier, Ollie Marsh, Stanley Smith, Arnell Jackson, Leroy Holmes, Deborah and Marvin Walker, Thomas Kennedy, Larry Jefferson, Edward Brown, Tonia Timmons, Eva Mae Haywood and Michael Maxie, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
