William Axson, Jr. Obituary

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” — Psalm 23:4

My life was beautiful, for as long as it lasted, but the journey of my life has come to an end. Please find comfort in knowing that I have no regrets whatsoever. Somethings in life are impossible for mankind to fully understand. Wherever, we go, from our birth throughout our life and into the passage of death, the Lord is always and ever with us. When the time comes to bid this life farewell, we should find comfort in knowing that a loving God will be there with us to guide us to our new home.

As we gather in the spirit of celebration, to honor the life of a well-loved member of the Axson family; our hearts are heavy, but we must accept God’s will and honor him for William’s sixty-seven beautiful years, God allowed our loved one to remain here on earth. The Lord can and will heal the poor in spirit and the brokenhearted. On August 22, 1956, in Brunswick, Georgia, the late William James Axson, Sr., and Clara Axson were blessed to receive a precious baby boy, whom they named William James Axson, Jr.

William was educated in the Glynn County public school system and was a graduating member of the class of 1974. After graduation, he attended Savannah State University, Savannah, Georgia, earning a degree as a physical therapist.
