William W. Holloway

“I am confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from this body, and to be present with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:8) 

William Walter Morris Holloway was born in Brunswick, Georgia, to Marjory Blash and the late William Holloway, Sr., on August 3, 1966. He attended Brunswick High School and later moved to Virginia where he attended Surry County Schools in Waverly, Virginia and was a member of the Class of 1987. 

 He developed an interest in construction at an early age and ultimately transformed that passion into a successful business, Holloway’s Remodeling. Throughout his career, he engaged in a variety of jobs and projects throughout the Coastal Georgia area and even took on opportunities in other states. 

He passed away on December 12, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, William Holloway Sr.; brother, William (Tub) Holloway; and grandfather, Morris Lee Billings.  

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Lawanna Holloway of 36 years; five daughters, Krashanda Holloway, Kraneisha Holloway, Kristen Holloway, Kristal Lynch (Melvin), and Kristina Holloway; mother, Marjory Blash (Kermit); grandmother, Pauline Billings; a committed grandfather to his 14 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jailah, Jasmine, Alek, Alexander, A’Riel, Zion, Maliek, Kai, Olajuwon Jr, Kenahdi, Chris, Kamiyah, and Kamryn; brother, Elrick Holloway (Cheles); three nieces, Fallan Holloway (La’Ki), and Cherri Holloway, Gerricka Holloway; two nephews, Anthony and Avery; mother-in-law, Katie Stephens; three sisters-in law, Tawanna Ketchup (Clinton), Sandra Alford (Joel), Reneka Stephens; one brother-in-law, Robert Stephens; and a host of family and friends.
