Xavier Devon Williams

Sometimes, God only lends the world His children only for a little while. No parent plans to bury his or her child but when God sends His angels to bring His child home; much sooner than we planned, we'll brave the grief that comes and try to understand. It's hard to understand why people are taken from us so young, but today as a family, we find comfort in knowing that Xavier was a special part of a well-lived life. When God calls our loved one's home, He leaves a gift of memories in exchange. Though his time with us was brief, it was filled with love, joy and boundless energy.

Xavier Devon Williams was born on August 11, 2006, to Veronica Williams and Johnathan Ramsey in Brunswick, Georgia. He received his formal education in the Glynn County School System in Brunswick, GA. In his leisure, he enjoyed taking pictures of nature, drawing and watching Naruto.

Xavier Devon Williams departed this life on July 14, 2024. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Vanessa Parker (Lee); one brother; his aunt, Deloresa Elkins (Ronald); and his uncle, Devegar Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Veronica Williams (Tashard Dallas); father, Johnathan Ramsey; five brothers, Johnathan Ramsey, Jr., Michael Williams, Jayveon Parks, Jailen Ramsey and Jakiren Ramsey; grandparents, Wendall Collins and Melvina (Lamont) Ramsey-Rhett; an unborn child and the child's mother Aniya Taylor; four aunts, Lee Ann Parker (Julius Garrett), Rachel Fisher (Mario), Shannon Cooper (Julius Bowe) and Shantel McDuffie; five uncles, Christopher Collins, Malcom Collins, Wendall Collins, Jr., Emmanuel Collins and Michael McDuffie; and a host of cousins, great aunts, great uncles, and friends.
